at the animal hospital i work at, it seems like there is a sort of rite-of-passage. and this is taking home stray animals. almost everyone has a cat/dog/rodent/bird that was brought in as a stray.
its finally happening to me, but at the worst time. there is this stray bunny that was hit by a car, and he is paralyzed from the shoulders down. x-rays showed no sign of broken bones or damage to the spine/hip. but he is just such an awesome little bunny...he's so cute and someone hit him with their car and just left him to die there.
i want to take him home so badly. he is in the recovering process, and all i want to do is take great care of him, and give him a great home.
he's a little scared of humans, but other than that he's such a sweetheart. he doesn't bite, and he eats like a champ. and he's even started to have some movement in his back legs (yay!!!).
he's got such spunk and personality, and i wuv him to death. he's got fleas and ticks and he poops all over, but i still wuv him.
...but i am going away to school in 3 weeks. i am trying my hardest to get my mom onboard with caring for him, because i really just want him to have a good life.
if no one takes him, he'll most likely be put to sleep because of his 'condition'. he's such a little fighter...he's trying so hard to recover and live a normal bunny life.
it breaks my heart...
