at the animal hospital i work at, it seems like there is a sort of rite-of-passage. and this is taking home stray animals. almost everyone has a cat/dog/rodent/bird that was brought in as a stray.

its finally happening to me, but at the worst time. there is this stray bunny that was hit by a car, and he is paralyzed from the shoulders down. x-rays showed no sign of broken bones or damage to the spine/hip. but he is just such an awesome little bunny...he's so cute and someone hit him with their car and just left him to die there.

i want to take him home so badly. he is in the recovering process, and all i want to do is take great care of him, and give him a great home.

he's a little scared of humans, but other than that he's such a sweetheart. he doesn't bite, and he eats like a champ. and he's even started to have some movement in his back legs (yay!!!).

he's got such spunk and personality, and i wuv him to death. he's got fleas and ticks and he poops all over, but i still wuv him.

...but i am going away to school in 3 weeks. i am trying my hardest to get my mom onboard with caring for him, because i really just want him to have a good life.

if no one takes him, he'll most likely be put to sleep because of his 'condition'. he's such a little fighter...he's trying so hard to recover and live a normal bunny life.

it breaks my heart...

Don't wake up.

4. You lost your arms in battle! But you grew some nice boobs.

5. Too much orca. Did it sound a little orca-ish to you?

6. I have not the heart to tell you. For me the grief is still too near

7. You're going to be bad for business.
haven't posted in a long time, mainly because everything i say won't be understood since the people who read this don't know anyone in boston.

i've been working like crazy trying to finish final projects and studying for written finals. not to mention practice for my proficiency audition for private instruction.

i'm getting rather comfortable here in boston, and i'm glad i've decided to come back to berklee next semester even though i won't be there next year.

there's a boy here who makes me extremely jealous. he's those one-in-a-million who fit the part of the perfect love story. he has an amazing love back home and i couldn't be happier for him, but i also can't help but wonder why there can't be two of him. or why there isn't someone who loves me so deeply and passionately like he loves his girl back home.

but he makes living here so much easier. he's amazing and i thank the heavens that i have him here with me to be a steady rock. also, my roommate is moving out to an apartment next semester and has started to pack up her stuff. i'm completely fine with this, ecstatic really, because she's turned out to be a very mean/childish/immature person and i can't stand having her negative effect lingering around me.

my friend from across the hall is moving in with me next semester, so that'll be amazing. i'm really happy about having a stable living situation when i come back. we get along great and she's very similar to me, not to mention a genuinely nice person.

oh, i totally forgot to mention..

i'm not coming home for winter break.

apparently i'm going to china with my mom because she's running a conference there. so i will be very MIA this winter. i basically leave for beijing the day i get back to chicago, and i come back right before i leave again for boston.

i'm excited, but at the same time it's sort of a drag. i really wish i could just settle down at home like everyone else is going to do. it looks like Spring Break will be the first time since August that i'll be home for more than a couple of days...

well i'm off to study. i had finals this week and more next week. i fly home the 22nd...phew that seems like a long way

peace

everything is really different here. it was nice at first, but now i just miss being around people who understand me even the slightest.

when other people here say they are unhappy its always about how hard the classes are or how much homework they have or how much they have to practice. but for me classes are fine, homework is fine, practicing is fine. its how other people here act that bothers me.

like so what if i want to do my homework on a friday night? people act like its a sin to not be out partying every night. and i'm sorry if i don't do pot. you can go be a fucking stoner with your stoner friends. i get so bored with drinking myself silly every weekend, its completely lost its appeal.

and i can't do music as a career, i just hate how i already realize how much i dislike singing now. i'm not competitive enough to use singing as a means of getting an income.

this whole school is like a big game of who can top who. its a constant battle to see who can show off the most. and it seems like its always a struggle between intrumentalists and singers. yet all the other singers here are r+b/jazz/pop and i'm the only classical singer i know of here. so it seems like its a constant struggle between me and everyone else.

being a musician means nothing. people don't seem to understand that. you're not helping other people, you're not making a difference in the world; you're only helping yourself. its a showcase of you, showing off, day in and day out. thats it.

i can't help but wonder why i'm not doing something beneficial. why i'm not doing something respectable, something that helps other people, that leaves you a better person.

i realize that i love singing too much to do it as a career. kissing ass and showing up other people shouldn't be in the equation.
